    Could be the brand of hard drive? I always have had the best luck with Western Digital drives for any console related things. Not sure if that is the issue. Another possibility is the drive is too large? But I think the latest things support drives up to like 2TB's or something.

    I just disable steam on start up on Windows, uses zero resources other than space on the old Nvme drive, the games use far more space. Now if it was up and running every time Windows boots yeah I dislike it running all the time too, although on a modern PC it's probably miniscule in the impact...

    Another thought, how much is all this electricity running through thousands of miles of wire going to contribute to the thing they are trying to prevent? Global warming. By that I mean we don't have room temp super conducting wires yes. All that juice is gonna put out some crazy heat.

    I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
