Hate to be this guy, but Android is going the route of Apple, and if you are involved in the custom ROM scene at all you would have a lot of first-hand experience with this recently. Fun fact: Google has begun restricting access to RCS based on Play Integrity status. Before it was used for...
I used to be console-only. I had all of my systems that I could hooked up to my TV through SCART to component. I would use flash carts to preserve my original cartridges. However, those times are long gone. I still have all of my systems, but sold off my game collections throughout the...
If this even comes CLOSE to what TFE can do, they can take all of my money. This was one of the first PC games I ever played. Nostalgia is through the roof.
Binding of Isaac. I have literally everything completed in the game, but I always find myself opening it every day or two for a random run. Pretty much my nightly routine: Get nightly stuff done, take medicine, play BOI until I get tired enough to sleep.
I had a similar issue when using an external DAC/amp with my unit. I was able to work around it by booting into desktop mode and making sure the active audio device is the one you are trying to use. I do not know of a simple way to do this from gaming mode.
Run custom ROMs on all of my devices, going all the way back to my HTC Evo 4G. Have a Pixel 7 with EvolutionX right now. Personally, I don't root anymore. ROM passed SafetyNet without rooting, and the main reason I root at this point is for theming. All of that is integrated. Even ad-blocking is...
If this is the only way you can play Half-Life Alyx for accessibility or financial reasons, then this is a great way to do it. If you have access to or can have access to VR and are physically capable of playing it, it is 100% DEFINITELY worth experiencing it in VR. This is the best...
I can chime in. First thing I would check is to make sure you are still using some sort of fan tuning plugin. Without this, it will still try and target that 85C mark and just not spin the fan as much. If it is still heating up and you are hearing your fan ramp up, you should retry the delid...
I have had diverticulitis a few times in the past. Luckily, mine were all caught before it got too serious and were able to be treated with IV antibiotics. Best of luck on your recovery. Stay strong.
I mainly wanted something that looked nice while plugged in. Sounds silly, but it just looks nicer than a cable and separate board. Friend who saw it thought it was just some 3rd-party controller adapter. Blew his mind when I explained it.
For anyone wanting a nicer-looking option for their 9.00 system, I recently ordered this adapter on AliExpress. Relatively cheap, looks nice, and works fine with 9.00 hosts.
They were probably in R&D hell and couldn't get to market quick enough. If they launched this 6 months earlier the landscape would be a bit different. But at that price, you are directly targeting the Odin series, Steam Deck, and now all of the other companies releasing PC-based handhelds...
About on-par with Lakka, but slightly lacking compared to Android. Duckstation and Redream run quite well on Android. I didn't have any issues with the games I played, but I know more demanding titles can prove slightly problematic. Overall, I focused entirely on Ubuntu for my emulation goals...
FWIW, running Android on the Switch gives you a lot of other fun options for emulation, but personally I would just jump straight into the deep end. Install Ubuntu and grab RetroPie. Give you a full EmulationStation frontend for a nice overall look, performance is on-par with Android or Lakka...
I think people are completely missing the purpose and use-case for FPGA. None of the FPGA-based systems should be looked at in comparison to emulation, because it is NOT emulation. An FPGA-based console will always be better in terms of gameplay, latency, and (depending on who you ask) video...
Alldebrid is pretty sweet. Integrates into JDownloader, so any compatible links will be forwarded through automatically. I can consistently pin my fiber connection at 100% while grabbing stuff.
