What would be the best format to archive the wii full set?

RVZ seems to be the standard because of it's size and because it works with Dolphin but it doesn't work with original hardware.

Going from RVZ to ISO isn't pratical, at all, because it will turn a 5~TB set into a 15TB one.
Even if compressing it back to WBFS or some form of shrink iso format.

Is there any option here that would work on original hardware but keep the size small as RVZ do?

Question on magic numbers.

For my setup i am creating some new magic numbers and using the Rhapsodii shima Theme , is there any other areas that you would need to update other than
1. adding the number to "wiiflow\plugins_data\platform.ini"
2. update the button ini "wiiflow\plugins\Plugin_name.ini"
3. update the menu ini "wiiflow\source_menu\menu_name.ini"

I have also added the datebase to give screenshots, descriptions, etc. for games to this setup.

Does anyone know a place where to check latest releases for homebrew?

Sorry to say, but Open Shop Channel is a mess and they never have fixed the web. Not only is not possible to filter homebrew by something as simple as release dates, but many of them were apparently released in 1970.

For example I wasn't aware that CleanRip was updated not long ago.

Hello, I hope you can help me.😫😫😫
In the following, I am sorry if the wording is incorrect (I am translating with transliteration)
I recently downloaded the game call of duty - black ops and I ran into a problem.
I used wii backup and divided it into 2 GB files.
I hashed the files and transferred them to flash (at first, I transferred the file with the wbfs extension)
After ejecting the flash and connecting it to the wii, it was working fine, the usbloader gx was able to read the game, but as soon as it entered the loading screen, it stopped moving forward.
Thank you for telling me what to do
Please simply tell me what to do
I am considering using the game via flash, but if it can be done with DVD, I have no problem (it doesn't matter if I run the game with neogamma or with usb loader gx, the game can only be run)😫😫😫
By the way, when I tried to install the game on DVD, it was installed on USB loader GX, but it did not open.
Thank you for guiding me with photos or videos or simply
Thank you for now🌷🌷🌷

Make sure it's formatted as MBR and fat32, plugged into port 0, try pressing 1 while in the hbc to toggle between sd and usb if u have multiple devices connected simultaneously, try updating your hbc using str2hax if hbc isn't v1.1.2 or higher using ios58, or if the wii is connected to wifi u can send syscheck's boot.dol to your wii via wifi using modmii to run syscheck and upload the report to share here

Hey! (May have posted my question in the wrong forum so I’ll post it here. Is it possible to have music change as you chance your source menu or even better is it possible To have a banner sound play continuous without starting over when selecting a game? An example would be: Wiiflow lite boots up, main menu appears, music plays song #1. I can select “consoles” from my 2 choices of “consoles or handhelds”. Now that I’m in the “consoles” section of Wiiflow, I select NES. If now I’m at the NES section showing games and I wanted a new song to automatically play just for this specific section, how would I go about that? Also if I click the game and the banner sound plays, I cycle to the left one game, the banner sound starts over. Is it possible to keep the banner sound music file playing while cycling games? (Basically want the nes Mario theme to play when I’m looking at NES games then would also like the nes Zelda theme to play when bringing the game in close, which pulls up the “play” button and the banner sound but would be neat if the Zelda theme would keep playing while cycling through games at this juncture without starting over each cycle if that makes sense lol.)

I've got a good one here, was given an extra Wii with a few other consoles I grabbed at a garage sale. Obvious signs of (old) mods. Try running HackMii installer and it freezes, never getting to the Press 1 to continue part. Now, I've had this happen to me 4 times in the probably close to 100 Wiis I've had my hands on. Two were fixed via ModMii solutions, reinstall some IOS, re- run HackMii installer, all is well. One was a NAND rebuild via ohneschwanzenegger, since HackMii Installer wouldn't ever proceed. Finally worked after rebuild.

This one I currently am working on, is not the case.
Photo channel and Mii Channel did not work. Black screened forever.
HackMii installer would freeze.
YAWM loaded, install IOS downloaded by ModMii. HackMii still frozen.
Rebuild NAND via ohneschwanzenegger, no errors, restore NAND, run HackMii, still freezes.
After rebuild, all channels and settings open fine, but returning to System Menu from any channel causes a forever black screen.

At a loss. Have never had one that I couldn't software fix and I don't like it
I'm using an SD card that I double checked with another Wii next to me, nothing freezes. WiiMote is real and fine, no motion plus. Pls send help, maybe an exorcist.

Explain what u mean by hackmii installer wouldn't proceed plz, the press 1 never showed up? If you have a GC controller try mashing A (I'm pretty sure someone strangely this reported this helping in a similar situation)

Also try the older version of the hackmii installer on the bootmii site, v1.0

Does the wii have bootmii boot2 by any chance?

Press 1 to continue never shows up. Have tried the ol A smash with GC controller and haven't made it anywhere. Tried HackMii installer v0.5-v1.2, just to try. Same thing, never shows press 1 to continue.
Not a boot 2 Wii.

It may be a hardware related. I helped someone with a similar issue, trying all that u have so far and then some, even went so far as to use modmii/punetwiin to clone a softmodded nand from one wii and convert it for the problematic wii, still didn't work. Ultimately "Jack" got it fixed on his own and this is what he reported as a solution.

"Hello again. You know that i was stucked with my old nintendo. I made a foolish with it, deassembly it and while it is on with a screwdriver I carefully went through the pins of the chip. It went out and lit up again. Then I decided to try if it works at all. And….. it worked like a miracle and even the Homebrew channel that I had installed but didn't work was ok now. I reinstalled all the ios, the priiloader and the forward priiloader on the mods. Even the installed usbloader gx works and I'm already running games without a problem, but via usb because I don't have an external hard drive"

I'm not a hardware guy, but it sounds to me like what he tried was risky. Thought I'd share anyway as it sounds like the exact same situation/symptoms.

my usbs aren't detecting in usbloaergx: i tried wbfs,fat32,exfat,ntfs, all with wii backup manager.
i tried all possible solutions online but still no fix, i went as far to even changing the hex of the usb, still no results.
i used windows file formatter in regards of fat32,exfat and ntfs, could that be a potential issue?.:!:

Hello @XFlak! I wanted to ask something. What makes newer Wiis (LU64+(?)) incompatible with older system menus? And before you say anything: No, I won't attempt to downgrade my Wii. I'm just curious and wanna know the cause. Is it because of the updated boot2 sector?

U know I actually don't know exactly. I know that u can install the 4.1 system menu ios (60) to the ios slot used by older system menus amd these wii's can safely run older system menu versions. So while not really a full answer, something in ios60 that's missing from say ios30 corrects for whatever the underlying cause may be (or vice versa, something in ios30 missing from ios60)
