I've just fixed a bug in a GBA game, the Meteorite Mania quest from Sword of Mana.
When trading items with the NPC, he's supposed to tell you that your bag's full if you have 99 of the item he wants to give you.
That works fine in the original Japanese version.

I made this for fun, I had a few problems during the project (broke the micro sd card for the pi, thankfully I had a copy of the program, although nothing else).

I've played pokemon for years, at least every gen.
Just unlucky maybe, but I've never gotten a real wild shiny. (poketracer helped in pearl, but still it's not the same as a real 1/8192 chance)

I imagine it's fun, a real puzzle, and very rewarding when it's done and you understand exactly how it works.
Surely they would be a little disappointed if it took 10 minutes to crack SX OS.

What if Sony never patches any of the PS4 kernel exploits, which means devs don't release anything because they say they will release when they get patched.
By doing nothing, Sony prevents piracy.
(Just a funny idea, because I know Sony does patch stuff)

I would put it on youtube, the code would be for Windows, Visual Studio, C#.
I would take a vita/3ds save (or any game really), find an offset like 'money', then we make an exe to load the save, display the value/money/hp, edit it and save the file...
