Same here from a UK person too. Previously I've owned a ZX Spectrum 128K +2B which was untested on Facebook, bought it for very cheap along with a power supply from a car boot sale. I sold the bundle a few months ago on eBay for 70 pounds and invested into an Amiga 500+.

Even better flipping them - I’ve got quite a few I’ve collected/repaired over the years. Only recently got another working grey +2 which was the first ever computer I remember using as a child 😀 hence the nostalgia I think.

Recently refurbed a +3, some Microdrives, the ZX printer and some other rare stuff to go with it!

Awesome! Saving old hardware and making a few bucks from it is the best thing ever. I still haven't fixed any 8 bits yet, though I hear my dad has more than a few boxes of broken VIC-20s and C64s he got for $5 each lol. Could be fun to work on those.

Kind of useless now considering my cat probably has a wifi chip inside it

I guess it's useful if your landlord doesn't let you rewire the apartment or change the switches.

Smart plugs and bulbs are already around the same price

Having a remote servo that can push/pull something for you is still useful.

    It could operate a latch.

On the other hand there are those chandeliers with like 50 lightbulbs and that would be a bit expensive to replace with smart bulbs.

Anbernic's SP clone will be $60 and I think I'll buy it. Looks decent enough and it will stop me from drooling over every single new handheld that comes out.

I love the GBA SP and this is the GBA SP on steroids. WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI out, two microSD card slots, sleep mode on screen close, it has everything :D
