(Firstly I wanna address the elephant in the room with the popularity of 3DS homebrew stuff actively growing:
I am fully aware of the TWL Patcher method on the 3DS.)
I am curious to how I would go about creating a rom hack/mod for SM64 that allows for auto running
specifically aimed for those who play on NDS/Lite/DSi, while for DSi there is always the option to
play the homebrew port of SM64, but i think it's fair to say it looks moreso as a "proof of concept"
rather than an "optimal experience" if anything in my opinion.
In regards to figuring out where to start if it's at all feasible the most info i've found while researching is a reply on
the Kuribo64 forum from 2014 answering the OP's question with "Locate the logic operation that check's for Y to be pressed and swap the Branch Operations."
